SCIA Engineer 22: Improved user-friendliness

Last year, with SCIA Engineer 21, the company launched a revolutionary new interface, putting its software at the forefront of global structural analysis software.

SCIA Engineer 22 focuses on SCIA's customers and streamlining their daily work. The new version allows users to get a better overview of the economy of the structure and the material savings, which is particularly important in today's economic conditions!

To improve efficiency, SCIA has accelerated many frequently used actions in the software: many data entry operations now require fewer clicks, while others benefit from new icons or automation. Additionally, version 22 offers a clearer and, if necessary, more compact presentation of assumptions and results.

Time optimization

Among the most significant updates that result in time savings are new reinforcement models for concrete columns, automatic reinforcement design with consideration of ELS requirements and an extended AutoDesign note. As for the results, some notable updates have also been made: a shortcut regenerates results, a user-customizable shortcut repeats the last command, and closing the results panel is easier.

Material savings

In addition to time optimization, material savings are an important aspect of civil engineering work. Significant improvements have been made, particularly for concrete structures. It is now possible to evaluate the material savings in the structure through the weight of reinforcements per cubic meter of concrete in the extended AutoDesign note.
