The Tower module has been used for many years by companies in Canada such as AECOM and Locweld, who pioneered the development of this module over 30 years ago. To meet these challenges, versatile software solutions are essential, and bocad has established itself as a reliable ally in this endeavour. Its ability to adapt to complex geometries has proved invaluable in navigating the complexities of tower design. In addition, bocad's ability to export models in a variety of formats proved invaluable for collaborating with other disciplines.

The Tower module provided a robust solution for modelling and detailing transmission towers, streamlining processes, and ensuring high accuracy. In addition, the development of custom macros over time has further accelerated the modelling and presentation of assembly and shop drawings.

Alain Demers comments: ‘I started using bocad when I was working at the manufacturer Locweld (Quebec, Canada) in 1989, at the very beginning of bocad. We were the first users of bocad in North America. I had to learn the FFEIN language to use it, PCs and mouse didn't exist yet, so I had to program everything.?I'm proud to say that I also contributed to the design of the Tower module, which is still used today by many manufacturers around the world.
