4MCAD 24 has been redesigned upon the latest ICAD engine and ODA libraries on a 64bit architecture, which means significantly faster performances even for very large drawings.
Among its general new features, someone can highlight the 3D Walk and Fly tour, the improved import and editing of tables and visual styles, the determination of the current location on a map file, the 3D rotate cube projection and orbit, the new visualized ribbon tab and over all the full support of the Autodesk® Revit® 2022 files.
As prementioned above, performances have been significantly improved. Some indicative examples concern the polyline vectorization, the Quick Select command, the display of large geographic images and the cursor response in large drawings with no selection preview.
Working with Files in 4MCAD24, involves a series of new options such as the exportation of 3D models to an .obj file, the connection support to PostgreSQL, MySQL, and WFS servers, the audit command to detect errors in .ifc filesattached as underlays, the export to .pdf files using an improved interface and many others.
Many other functionalities regarding the selection and modification of entities (i.e. Break at Point command, 3D Positioner command, explosion of remote text (rtext) entities in drawings etc) as well as the table commands (i.e. Match Cell command, block insertion in table cells, merge of selected cells by row/column/all etc) are also included in 4MCAD v.24.
